The Seagull (The Chekhov Project)

SPRING & SUMMER 2023

South Pasadena Theatre Workshop is thrilled to offer performances of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull and The Cherry Orchard coming summer 2023. Join us for this historical moment in South Pasadena Theatre Workshop's journey as we explore the work that inspired us, laugh at the battles that consume us and celebrate, together, all that makes us grateful for each other.

Set in the Russian countryside at an estate bursting at the seams with guests, three generations collide in The Seagull, a tragicomic tangle of romance, jealousy, and unrequited love. Director Sydney Walsh and the cast wrestle with the eternal questions that haunt the intellectual artist class: What is Love? What is Art? Where is the Vodka?
