Madame Ranevskaya returns to her beloved estate for sanctuary after years of being adrift. Though nurtured by friends and family and soothed by the enchantment of The Cherry Orchard, her respite is challenged by ensuing conflict as she and her brother struggle with the opposing dynamics in their midst: Their former serf is now a rich man; the young tutor an outspoken revolutionary, and their former life is no more. Directors Sam Cass and Kila Packett direct the ensemble cast in Chekhov's last play exploring pathos, humor, and survival.
